This “toolbox” is intended for individuals who would like to defend antiracism and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices in schools as others attack such efforts. While it is certainly not exhaustive, this text does provide several starting points, considerations, and ideas to help advocates develop a deeper understanding of what is at stake and how to move forward. Because many of the current attacks against DEI and antiracism in education are grounded in disinformation about Critical Race Theory (CRT), we have taken the time to provide accurate, well-researched information about what CRT is and is not. This information can be used for your personal edification and to share as we work to reclaim and correct current narratives surrounding antiracism in education.
